What are Varicose Veins?
Varicose veins are a condition resulting from the enlargement and deformation of the superficial veins in the legs. They typically appear as blue or purple, twisted vessels. Varicose veins occur due to the weakening of the valves that prevent the backflow of blood. This condition leads to blood pooling in the legs and consequently causes swelling, pain, and a feeling of discomfort.
